On October 3, Jonathan, Donna and Amy went to help at Sister Jean’s Kitchen in Atlantic City. This kitchen, out of First Presbyterian Church, is serving the community by feeding 300-400 hungry homeless people every day. We put on our aprons and went to work fixing plates,
serving food and clearing up afterwards.
We enjoyed our day there and felt as if we had been useful and helpful.

PLEC (with the addition of Joel from St. Lucia ) traveled up to Toms River on Oct. 17 to attend FaithNet at the Church of Grace and Peace. This was our second time in attendance at the apostolic round table discussion. We feel privileged to know that the input of our generation is important to the leadership there as they discuss strategies in advancing the Kingdom of God.

Our most exciting trip so far has been our annual Mohawk Friend Gathering at the reservation in Akwesesne , NY ! God moved in a powerful way in all of our lives and in the lives of the native people who came. Pastor Joshua taught on “Ministering Spiritual Gifts” and many people including youth activated their spiritual gifts for the first time…and came back for more! It was exciting for us to see teens return night after night and have the opportunity to pray over them and speak into their lives. PLEC students were able to pray with the people, flow in our gifts, minister through our drama and share our testimonies. We are looking forward to returning to Mohawk next year to continue building relationships. We know that He has started a great work there!
